Overhead Line Design Support

Power Control Engineers supported a Tier 1 engineering firm with the delivery of an exceptional Overhead Line Design solution for one of its client's road-widening projects.  Using our significant experience in Overhead Line Design, and our expertise with engineering software PLS-CADD, PCE overcame site constraints to generate an optimal design solution for the relocation of sub-transmission (66kV) assets in the Upper Hunter area of NSW.  

Using PLS-CADD and quality survey data from site, PCE were able to assess existing conductor tensions and pole loads, and prove that the proposed design solution had minimal impact on Ausgrid's existing assets.  PCE then used PLS-CADD to ensure that the relocation design was compliant with both AS/NZS7000 and Ausgrid's Network Standard NS220 through structural assessment, clearance analysis and reporting.

PCE provided our client with the full suite of results, calculations, and profile drawings required for the design submission to Ausgrid. And with outstanding communication throughout the project, delivery of our client's scope was always guaranteed.
