Mine Statutory Engineer
Hunter Valley Quarry
PCE have undertaken the statutory responsibility of Manager of Electrical Engineering at a Lovedale quarry. Taking on this responsibility PCE are accountable for ensuring the Quarry is compliant with current legislative requirements, Australian standards and best engineering practises.
Recent changes in the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulation 2014 state that mines other than underground mines or coal mines (Quarries) that have total power connected exceeding 1000kW and/or have high voltage utilised on site now require an appropriately qualified electrical engineer to be nominated to the statutory role.
PCE have developed the mines electrical engineering control plan (EECP) and ensure the controls stated in the EECP are carried out to the highest standards through supervision of installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
