Earthing Studies

Earthing systems are critical to power systems. Protective devices rely on efficient earthing to operate correctly and reliably. Even still, earthing systems are often poorly understood and overlooked.

PCE are experts in the design and analysis of customised earthing systems. Power Control Engineers use SKM Ground Mat and Paladin software’s EDSA 2005 along with years of design experience to provide efficient and cost effective earthing designs. PCE can also perform complete analysis of existing earthing systems and provide detailed study reports and recommendations.

On completion of an earthing design PCE’s team of experienced engineers and project managers can arrange complete installation and design verification of the earth grid.

Tests undertaken on site include soil resistivity tests, earth grid resistance tests and testing of touch and step potentials, used to verify the earth grid designs.
